Red Masquers’ Season Continues with ‘Strindberg One Acts’
The Duquesne University Red Masquers' season continues with a celebration of the acclaimed Swedish playwright and novelist August Strindberg.
The Strindberg One Acts will feature two plays, The Stronger and Playing with Fire, at 8 p.m. on April 9-12 in the Peter Mills Auditorium, Rockwell Hall.
- The Stronger is a two-character play in which one actress speaks and the other does not. The play is performed twice, with a different character being the stronger in the second performance to offer a different perspective on what it means to be strong.
- Playing with Fire is a dark comedy about relationships: love, envy and jealousy; lust and longing; competition and insecurity; and boredom and spite. The play also examines the very human desperation to connect to on a meaningful level, and the impossibility of knowing another's truth.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Admission is free with a Duquesne ID.
