Duquesne University School of Nursing is seeking a seasoned researcher as associate dean to lead the faculty and students’ research and scholarship endeavors. This is a tenured position for a senior faculty member beginning in 2010. The associate dean directs the Center for Nursing Research in support of research productivity. In addition, the associate dean fosters faculty and students’ efforts in grant writing, scholarship and research in vulnerable populations, health disparities, cultural competence and chronic illness—the school’s research focus areas.
Qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in nursing or a related field
- Established record in research, scholarship and securing external funding
- Interdisciplinary research experience
- A commitment to the dual role of scholar and teacher
