Normal Newborn: General Appearance

• Well-flexed, full range of motion, spontaneous movement

Common variations:

• Legs extended with frank breech

Signs of potential distress or deviations from expected findings:

• Posture limp

• Asymmetry of movement

• Persistent tremor, twitching
