International Students Admissions Criteria

Admissions Criteria

1. BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.

2. Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

3. Prerequisite coursework - must be completed prior to fall enrollment with a grade of "C" or higher. These courses must have been completed within the past 10 years:

Biology or Chemistry with lab	3 credits
Anatomy and Physiology I with lab	4 credits
Anatomy and Physiology II with lab	4 credits
Microbiology with lab	4 credits
Nutrition	3 credits
Pharmacology	3 credits
Statistics	3 credits

Application Process

The application and ALL supporting documents (see below) must be received by the deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

1. The School of Nursing strongly recommends that you submit your application online. Complete the online Application for Undergraduate Admission on the Duquesne University Admissions Web site.

2. Send the following in one package to the School of Nursing:

• Statement of Professional Goals - Provide an essay addressing your decision to pursue a BSN degree and future career goals. Use a separate sheet and limit to one typed page, double-spaced.
• Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.
• Two professional (academic and/or employment) reference letters. Please have the letters sealed in envelopes and signed across the envelope seal by the endorsers.

3. Request official transcripts from ALL PREVIOUS undergraduate and graduate work to be sent directly to:
