Online Degree Programs

Through online degree programs, students complete a set curriculum, logging on at their convenience and completing coursework via the Internet. Instructors in an online course use Internet-based software for instruction, and post lectures and reading assignments. Students participate in written discussions with other students and the instructor. Courses incorporate state-of-the-art learning technologies.


Education

Educational Studies program; Master of Science in Educational Studies can be taken as an online degree program offered through the Center for Advancing the Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL).


Health Sciences

Master of Science in Health Sciences -- Online accelerated 7-week courses with no required  meeting times. For healthcare professionals who only have a bachelor's degree.


Music

Master of Music: Major in Music Education (Offered through the Mary Pappert School of Music)


Nursing

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree specialties:

PhD Program

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program

These are offered through the Duquesne School of Nursing. (Coursework is completed online but students must schedule visits to the Pittsburgh campus to demonstrate competencies.)

Due to higher education regulation changes, effective August 1, 2011, Duquesne University is unable to accept applications for admission to online programs and courses from students residing in:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Iowa
  • Massachusetts
  • Minnesota
  • Wisconsin.
