The Non-Profit Pharmacy Difference
Opened in December 2010, The Center for Pharmacy Services is a state-of-the-art, non-profit pharmacy operated by Duquesne University. The Center for Pharmacy Services fills a more-than-ten-year gap in pharmacy services for the Hill District and Uptown communities.
The health of the people living and working in our community is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to improving patient health outcomes by providing access to affordable medications and health services. We offer an easy prescription transfer process, accept most insurances and provide free delivery.
A Community-Based Approach
We don’t just fill prescriptions. We are also active members in the community. Last year alone we helped more than 4,000 people and our pharmacists conducted health screenings at 35 community outreach events.
As a result of these events, we made more than 1,000 patient referrals to hospitals or healthcare providers. These referrals were for individuals who may not have understood their health risks without our services.
