How do I transfer my existing prescriptions?

Contact us at 412.246.0963 or and we will get in touch with your current pharmacy on your behalf. We can also contact your doctor to get the prescription directly.

How do I get a new prescription to the pharmacy?

The easiest, safest way is to have your doctor’s office send it to us electronically. You can also mail it or drop it off at the pharmacy.

How is my medication packaged for delivery?

Your medication is packaged in a sealed envelope or bag to protect your privacy.

What if I am not available when the delivery person arrives?

If you know you cannot be there when your delivery arrives or if you miss the delivery, contact us at 412.246.0963 or and we will reschedule your delivery. With your permission, we can also leave your prescription with a designated person.

Can other members of my family use the pharmacy?

Yes. However each family member will need to enroll separately.

How is my privacy protected?

It is a top priority of Duquesne University Pharmacy to protect your patient health information. Although your patient health information is protected under federal law by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), it is also the mission of the Pharmacy to act with utmost regard and ethical conduct with patient health information. All staff and students at the center are HIPAA trained. All information provided to the pharmacy is strictly confidential. Prescriptions are delivered in a sealed envelope with patient’s name and delivery address only.
