FAQs
Q: What is the Center for Pharmacy Services?
A: Staffed by licensed pharmacists, the Center for Pharmacy Services is a pharmacy operated by the Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy. We serve both the public and the University community.
Q: What kind of payment options does the pharmacy have? Do you accept insurance?
A: We will work with you and your doctor to obtain the most appropriate medication at the lowest cost. We offer a $4 generic program, help with patient assistance programs, and coordinate with your doctor on prior authorizations and insurance issues. The pharmacy accepts most major insurances and works to help those with no insurance to secure the medication needed. When necessary, the Center provides its services free of charge.
Q: What can the pharmacy do for me?
A: We can be your partner for better health! In addition to filling your prescriptions, delivering them for free and calling you to remind you about refills, we also provide a number of health and wellness screenings, as well as counseling for weight loss and medication management.
