Body for Break!
Once spring semester starts, you only have 7-weeks to get ready for spring break. Let the Power Center staff help you get better results by writing a complehensive workout program for you and hand picking your moste effective group fitness classes. From January 12 -February 27, 2009, The Power Recreation Center will give you the information and motivation you need to get the best BODY FOR BREAK...and you can win prizes too!

Bike Across Pennsylvania!

This 7- week event began November 3rd and will continue until December 19th, working to promote healthy lifestyles.  Almost 300 participants registered and will be riding the stationary bikes, running on the treadmills, ellipticals, or total body trainers to make the trek across Pennsylvania. Everyone who makes it the 300 miles across the state of Pennsylavnia will be eligible for the GRAND PRIZE raffle.

The program will also feature a WEEKLY RAFFLE PRIZE WINNER for those individuals that meet the pre-set goal of attaining 43 miles on the map for each week. All winners will be posted at the Power Recreation Center and here on the website!

10 Week Annual Fitness Challenge!
Duquesne University's First Annual Fitness Challenge is now underway! Good luck and thank you to all the participants! The fitness staff look foward to helping you work toward a healthier lifestyle over the next 10-weeks. Don't forget to log your workouts and return your nutrition logs to Shannon Fosters, Assistant Director, Power Center, 210.
