Communiter Engagement Scholars Banner

• A Community Engagement Scholar is a year-long, part-time program through AmeriCorps.
• Scholars must complete 300 hours of community service and follow an action plan, developed in cooperation with a department mentor.
• Scholars receive a financial education award in return for their dedicated service, as well as leadership development training throughout the program.
• This year, 20 Community Engagement Scholars were selected by their departments for these special positions. A new group of scholars will be selected in the spring of 2012.
• Undergraduate or graduate students can be selected to assist academic departments in strengthening their community engagement activities. Read a description of one Scholar's year of service.
