Professional Interests
Dr. Rentschler directs the University Clinic and serves as Program Director of the Stuttering Clinic.  Dr. Rentschler is a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders and serves on the Fluency Recognition Board. He was also recognized as "Speech Pathologist of the Year " and "Volunteer of the Year" by the National Stuttering Association.  Dr. Rentschler is a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Stuttering Association, and serves on the Professional Advisory Board for the national organization.

Dr. Rentschler mentors students working in the Clinic with children and adults who stutter; he also teaches the graduate course in fluency disorders.  His clinical and research interests focus on the role of emotional and psycho-social issues in perpetuating stuttering.
