Advertising Club
The Advertising Club provides students with the opportunity to put learning into practice. This is done through participation in a national advertising competition, presentations by and networking opportunities with advertising professionals, and discussions of major issues in the rapidly evolving advertising and marketing industries.

Debate Team
The award-winning Duquesne Debate Team competes in intercollegiate debate tournaments throughout the Northeast and Midwest. The team is open to all undergraduates from all schools within the University. No experience required (although it is always welcome). Debaters may compete in Novice and Varsity divisions. If you have an interest in voicing your views on the most significant political, economic, and social issues of the day while acquiring professional-level research and presentation skills consider joining the debate team.
Duquesne University Classical Society
An organization dedicated to increasing the awareness and appreciation of the classics, the Duquesne University Classical Society holds regular meetings throughout the year to discuss classical literature, archeology and ancient history.
Duquesne University Women in Philosophy
Duquesne University Women in Philosophy (D-WIP) is committed to the advancement of women in the field of philosophy. The organization provides students with a honest and supportive environment while addressing concerns and career possibilities.

Modern Languages Scholars, Society of
The Society of Modern Language Scholars is an organization dedicated to the appreciation of languages and cultures. The organization sponsors a number of events to converse in foreign languages with both native and non-native speakers, view foreign films, interact with people from other ethnicities and attend a variety of cultural events.
MODUS
MODUS was established to provide students practical experience designing and developing new media products and services. MODUS sets up partnerships with University departments and outside non-profit organizations to provide services commonly found in the Web, Print, and Multimedia industries. In addition to professional development opportunities, MODUS gives students the ability to better acquaint themselves with one another, creating a strong social and professional network that will carry over into their professional careers.
Public Relations Student Society of America
The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is open to all undergraduates from all schools within the University. In weekly meetings, students who join PRSSA create, develop, and implement an actual public relations campaign for a local non-profit organization. In addition, PRSSA sponsors networking opportunities in the form of talks and roundtable discussions led by Pittsburgh's top public relations professionals.
Society of Professional Journalists
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) is a national professional collegiate association dedicated to the promotion of quality journalism. The organization offers students regular opportunities to meet with top industry professionals, along with training and access to internships and scholarships. The Duquesne chapter sponsors speakers, organizes trips and participates in regional and national conferences. Each semester, the SPJ publishes Off the Bluff, a high-quality magazine that features the best stories produced by news writing classes in the Journalism and Multi-Media Arts program.
