Professional Education Fraternity

Kappa Delta Epsilon (KDE) is an professional educational fraternity which supports the cause of education by fostering a spirit of fellowship, high standards of scholastic attainment and professional ideals among its members. KDE is an active group engaged in preparing members for the teaching profession.


Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children

PAEYC meets with the aim of learning and sharing new topics related to early childhood education. Members have the opportunity to attend special presentations and conferences, as well as engage in community service projects. All students are welcome to join.

Student Affiliates of School Psychology

Student Affiliates in School Psychology (SASP) is the student led organization in the School Psychology Program within the Department of Counseling, Psychology, and Special Education at Duquesne University. SASP represents a local chapter of the larger organization affiliated with Division 16 of the American Psychological Association. One of the main goals of SASP is to keep graduate students aware of issues pertaining to school psychology and encourages participation in professional activities that will further strengthen this discipline in the future. In addition, SASP creates opportunities for collaboration and communication between students and faculty in an effort to create meaningful and lasting professional relationships within the field.
