Duquesne University Physical Therapy Association
Duquesne University Physical Therapy Association (DUPTA) is a student-run organization of undergraduate and graduate students devoted to promoting the profession of physical therapy at Duquesne University and throughout the community through educational, service and social activities.
DUPTA strives to educate others on the role and various arenas of physical therapy and general health and wellness, give members real-life experiences working with others, provide service to those in need and help to foster a greater sense of community with those in the Physical Therapy Department at Duquesne University and beyond.
Duquesne University Student Association Athletic Training
Duquesne University Student Association Athletic Training (DUSAT) was established to promote the field of athletic training and provide students with networking and professional development opportunities.
National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association
Duquesne University is host to a chartered chapter of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). NSSLHA is an organization dedicated to supporting both graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication. The NSSLHA chapter at Duquesne University blends the best of professional and educational development, service consistent with the mission of Duquesne University, and fun.
Each year NSSLHA hosts regional and national experts to provide students with additional professional and educational opportunities.
Physician Assistant Student Association
The Physician Assistant Student Association (PASA) is an organization designed to allow students within the physician assistant program to interact with one another while collectively serving to promote the mission of the profession throughout the community. Various service activities are conducted each semester, presenting students with the opportunity to become involved in community service. Also, social events are planned which serve as an excellent means for getting to know one's fellow classmates and seeking answers to any possible questions one may have for upperclassmen. In order to join, one must be enrolled in Duquesne's physician assistant program and submit the dues of $5.00 at the beginning of each academic school year.
