Freshman Class Advisory Committee

The Freshman Class Advisory Committee (FCAC) is a group of freshmen who meet with the Director of Freshman Development biweekly throughout their freshman year.

The goal of this committee is to provide feedback to the Director concerning current freshman needs, and to provide students with an opportunity for leadership development. Members of this Committee plan both service and social programs for students, the University, and the surrounding community throughout their freshman year.

GAMMA
Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol

GAMMA was formed in 1999 by the leaders of the Greek community at Duquesne to address issues focusing on alcohol abuse prevention and other related student health and safety issues. The members of GAMMA believe that fraternity and sorority members can play an effective role in encouraging their peers to consider, speak honestly about, and develop responsible habits and attitudes toward the use or non-use of alcohol and other drugs.

Junior Class Council

The Junior Class Council was created to improve the quality of the student experience for junior students and to promote life-long bonding to the University.  In order to accomplish this, the Junior Class Council assists in the development and implementation of various programs and events throughout the year.

Through education and support, Lambda works to build a community of tolerance and acceptance in dealing with GLBT issues.

Senior Class Council

The Senior Class Council was created to improve the quality of the student experience for senior students and to promote life-long bonding to the University.  In order to accomplish this, the Senior Class Council coordinates events throughout the year and assists in the implementation of the Senior Year Experience program.

The Student Advisory Health Committee endeavors to promote health awareness among the Duquesne community. The committee consists of students with health, management, and service interests working together to develop creative programs which promote health and safety issues.
