As a reflection of Duquesne’s Spiritan mission and identity, the Department of Theology has a historical commitment to Africa. Along with enrolling a sizeable number of African students in graduate theological programs, we also view it as important to maintain and develop strong institutional ties to schools on the African continent.

The Department of Theology is currently affiliated with the Spiritan International School of Theology in Enugu, the Dominican Institute in Ibadan, both in Nigeria, and the School of Theology at Tangaza College, in Kenya. Click here for details on our recent affiliation with Tangaza College.

We are currently exploring the possibility of other partnerships, not only on the African continent but also in India.

Review the University's initiatives to engage students and staff in projects with Africans.
