Dr. Elisabeth Vasko holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Arts in pastoral ministry from Boston College, and received her Ph.D. in theology from Loyola University Chicago in 2009. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, she spent several years working in youth and young adult ministries in the Chicago area.

Dr. Vasko’s areas of specialization are christology; feminist and liberation theologies; theological anthropology; and theological aesthetics. Her current research analyzes the way in which theological constructions beauty and the cross frame attention to suffering in view of systematic injustices, especially gender-based violence.
