What is the Vincentian Academy-Duquesne University Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is the program for alumni, parents and friends to provide an annual gift in support of various programs at Vincentian Academy.
It includes the following areas of support:
• Unrestricted gifts
• Scholarships
• Annual capital improvements
When you make a gift to any of these areas, you are supporting the Vincentian
Academy Annual Fund.
Fundraising activities for the Fund are directed by the Office of Institutional
Advancement. This office serves as a resource for parents, alumni and friends
who have questions about any aspect of their giving.

What is meant by………
Unrestricted Gifts:
Financial gifts applied to areas in school life that are determined by the President. Traditionally, these are applied where there appears to be the greatest need at the time.
Scholarships:
Financial gifts that used to assist parents with tuition costs. Need is determined by an outside agency at the time of application when families submit financial assistance forms.
Annual Capital Improvements:
Financial gifts applied to the permanent structural improvement or the restoration of some aspect of the school property that will enhance the property's value and increases its useful life.
How do matching gifts work?
If your company has a matching gift program, your gift to Vincentian Academy may be doubled or even tripled. Forms are usually available from your human resources department. If you are not sure whether or not a particular company matches gifts, please call us. Matching gifts from your employer will be credited towards your level of giving in the Vincentian Academy Giving Clubs.
