All our faculty are teacher-scholars, with research and classroom time combined for the benefit of students. Many of our faculty involve undergraduate and graduate students in their research projects.

Faculty Support
Center for Teaching Excellence
We support faculty through the Center for Teaching Excellence, which provides confidential teaching consultations, course observations, workshops, and faculty learning groups. Online materials and a special library collection provide the instructional community with resources to strengthen teaching and succeed in academic careers.
Founded in 1989 as a faculty initiative, the Center for Teaching Excellence helps faculty and graduate student teaching assistants excel as teacher-scholars deeply invested in their students' learning.
Faculty Senate
The mission of the Faculty Senate shall be to provide a forum for mutual understanding and effective communication between the faculty and other interdependent components within the University.
