Myia DespertMyia is the Assistant to the Assistant Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer. Myia provides support to the departments including processing unemployment claims and Human Resources payroll. She will interface with other University departments and outside entities, research and best practices benchmarking and provide general office support.

Ryan DawsonRyan oversees the HR practice areas of recruiting, employee relations and training and development.  He also assists faculty and staff with obtaining employment-based visas, manages the unemployment compensation program and oversees diversity and inclusion initiatives.  Ryan is a member of several ongoing committees at Duquesne, including, Title IX, Administrative Policy Review and Student Conduct.  He also co-chairs the HR Advisory Committee and serves on numerous search committees.

Andrea BeresteckyAndrea provides a full range of employee relation services to the University community, including consultation and support to management and employees through analysis and interpretation of University policies and procedures and review of applicable employment and labor law.  She is the first point of contact in employee relations, provides objective problem-solving and decision-making assistance and assists with mediation and conflict resolution.  She is also responsible for managing the 30, 60 and 90 day introductory and review and the exit interview programs.  Andrea also serves on a variety of ad hoc committees.

Donna SteedDonna is responsible for the administration and compliance of the employee benefit programs while overseeing and managing the Benefits Office. She is a Plan Administrator for the University's Retirement Plan, a member of the University Retirement Committee and advisor to the University Benefits Committee. Donna is also a member of the University Wellness Committee and directs the Wellness in Motion Program.

Kim TrevorsKimberly is the Benefits Assistant II. Her extension is the primary contact number for the benefits office. Kim processes and maintains benefits eligibility events, including the Health Reimbursement Accounts for eligible retirees. She is responsible for performing enrollment data audits and completes Accounts Payable transactions. She is the Human Resources webmaster and provides regular support to the benefits office staff.

Kathy JaczeskoKathy is the Director, HRIS and is responsible for directing all aspects of HRIS Systems Administrations; she also leads the HRIS team in managing the day-to-day activities to support HR/Payroll in the establishment and maintenance of all personnel, salary, benefit and leave records. She is responsible for the administration and integration of multiple software applications and leads HR reporting initiatives including compliance reporting, total compensation and the University Directory. Kathy is a member of the Data Standards Committee, ECC Committee and Tech Partners Group on campus.
