As VP for IT and CIO, Chuck Bartel is responsible for the overall management and strategic planning for all University IT services including administrative computing, centralized infrastructure, and a variety of technology support services, including enterprise reporting, telecommunication services and information security. Bartel oversees CTS, which is comprised of four directorates that provide computing and technology services to the Duquesne University community.

Tom oversees a comprehensive, unified information (cyber) security program for Duquesne University that includes detection, prevention, incident response and cybersecurity awareness. He is also responsible for Identity and Access Management and Data Governance. Tom is also an Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity in the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts. Tom participates on the following committees: Tech Partners, Business Managers Council and Incident Response Team (Lead). Non-DU committees: Greater Pittsburgh CISO Group Governing Body, Evanta CIO Advisory Board, Pittsburgh Premier CIO Forum Advisory Council, KINBER Cyber Security Working Group, C-CUE Information Security Consortium, InfraGard, Steel City Information Security Group and Internet2 Cloud Working Group. |

Sheryl is responsible for the implementation and operation of all technology infrastructures, which includes data center, service monitoring, network, telecommunications, servers, storage, backup, recovery and related software. The IT Infrastructure Services Team is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure. The team provides consultative services and solutions by working closely with cross-functional business areas, Tech Partners and other IT groups. Robert provides leadership to the Administrative Applications group and is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of a comprehensive system and services portfolio, including the Banner ERP suite, CRM, housing support, data analytics and reporting, document management, the University portal and website, business process improvement and project management. The Administrative Applications group is organized into three teams that provide database administration and business intelligence, programming and development, and project and portfolio management services. All Administrative Application group members work closely with campus and external colleagues to provide the highest level of service to students, faculty and staff. Bob participates on the following committees: Tech Partners, Enterprise Computing Committee (ECC). In addition, Bob co-chairs strategic technology planning and review meetings with significant administrative groups including but not limited to Enrollment Management, Human Resources, Auxiliary Services, Advancement, Educational Technologies, and Business & Finance. |

Chase is responsible for overseeing the financial operation of multiple areas on campus, including Computing and Technology Services (CTS), Facilities Management and Human Resources, and serves as a liaison between the areas represented and central departments on campus. Such operations include daily financial and labor transactions, financial and capital planning, licensing and software contract review and internal billing procedures. The Shared Services team also focuses on providing operational efficiency to university processes through collaboration with key campus stakeholders.
