Teaching with Blackboard
Blackboard offers instructors and students of modern languages a wide variety of tools and resources that can greatly enhance the teaching and learning experience, including a broad spectrum of course administration and communications tools, voice recording and discussion boards, and tools that enable real-time collaborative learning (e.g., Collaborate).
All instructors must be certified in Blackboard in order to be provided access to these tools. If you are not yet certified, CTS provides training sessions throughout the year. Click here for additional information about the resources and services of CTS, including a schedule of a upcoming training workshops.
Once certified, you must request a Blackboard site, and activate specific tools and features, prior to the beginning of each semester--by clicking on the Bb SERVICES tab under FACULTY RESOURCES on the university's Blackboard site and following the instructions. (Use your MultiPass information to sign in.) You can add various voice and recording tools after you have requested a Bb site via the Bs SERVICES link.
