Dr. Jordan Covvey Appointed To Editorial Board For Currents In Pharmacy Teaching And Learning
Jordan Covvey, Pharm.D. Ph.D., assistant professor of pharmacy administration, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning, a peer-reviewed journal focused on educational research excellence. The journal focuses efforts in two areas: scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) and scholarship in interprofessional education (IPE) among pharmacy faculty.
"Dissemination of high-quality scholarship in the profession of pharmacy is incredibly important for researchers, educators and patients alike. As such, I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to work with the journal in an editorial and advisory capacity to advance this goal."
The current editor-in-chief is Robin Zavod, Ph.D. FAPHA, a professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. The journal has been in press since 2009 and currently publishes 12 issues per year. Dr. Covvey also serves on the Editoral Advisory Board of the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA), currently led by Editor-in-Chief Pamela Heaton, Ph.D., B.S. Pharm., M.S., a professor and the chair of the pharmacy practice division at the University of Cincinnati.
