Duquesne University's Internship Program is designed to provide students with a professional, entry-level work experience as a valuable element of their academic curriculum. Our academic programs, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, provide an excellent foundation for student interns and offer an extensive diversity of disciplines to meet employers' needs. Duquesne University interns consistently receive high marks from their worksite supervisors.
Faculty Sponsors Needed
Faculty play an integral part in the Internship Program. Students may ask you to be their Faculty Sponsor during the internship. These faculty guidelines can assist you in meeting your responsibilities as a Faculty Sponsor.
The Internship Program is open to all current students who meet basic GPA and student status requirements. Undergraduate students must work a minimum of 120 hours during the semester; graduate students a minimum of 150 hours, to earn 3 credit hours.
Available internship positions are posted for students on the Handshake website on an on-going basis. We also encourage students to search the Pittsburgh Technology Council's Career Connector, Vibrant Pittsburgh, Imagine Pittsburgh as well as additional resources.
If you or your students have any questions about the Internship Program, please contact the Center for Career Development at email@example.com or 412.396.6644.
