Partnering Together for Success!

The Center for Career Development offers a number of resources to faculty and instructors for use in their courses. We are happy to provide these resources and assistance to instructors.

To better understand how our facilities and services can work into your course requirements, we offer tours of our office, presentations at department meetings, and individual appointments. By having this information, you can also submit more appropriate referrals to the Center for Career Development.

Many students seek career guidance and assistance from faculty and advisors. Through written publications and individual discussions, we can partner together to assist Duquesne students, helping them to achieve their career goals.

The Center for Career Development in the Classroom

We will be happy to help you incorporate career information into your curriculum. If you would like to refer students to the The Center for Career Development as part of your course, please contact us first. A copy of your syllabus and instructions pertaining to career-related assignments will help our staff become aware of any requirements and due dates, and will prepare us to respond to students' questions.

Classroom Presentations

We are more than happy to be guest speakers in your class, offering instruction on career planning and job search topics. Please contact the Center for Career Development to schedule such presentations as early in the semester as possible.

Practice Interviews

Practice interviews are available to students who would like to practice their interviewing skills. Our Practice Interview Days are held each semester with employer volunteers who provide post-interview feedback and suggestions. Students may also practice interviewing online through Big Interview.

Career Resources

The Center for Career Development has many handouts you and students are welcome to take. We are open during normal office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
