The Leadership Academy Focuses on Nonprofit Board Training

The School of Leadership and Professional Advancement at Duquesne University will host The Leadership Academy, a nonprofit board training program.

Attendees will network with and learn from leaders in the nonprofit community and the private sector, and will receive valuable resource materials.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards
  • Essential elements of board leadership
  • Legal duties of nonprofit board members
  • Attributes of peak-performing nonprofit boards
  • Strategic planning processes
  • Models for ethical decision-making
