I write books about roadside America - diners, drive-ins, highways - plus edit or manage books at my workplace, the Heinz History Center.

I've edited Western Pennsylvania History magazine since 2001, overseeing all aspects of production and enjoying it immensely.

I've designed the SCA Journal - the magazine of the Society for Commercial Archeology - since 1996.
