DU Card Features

Main Card Features

  • Dining
    Your DU Card will be encoded to access your meal plan or flex dollars. Simply present your card to the cashier for payment to be deducted from your meal plan or flex dollars.

  • Security Access
    Your DU Card is also your "access" into Residence Halls and Academic Buildings. Resident students are automatically permitted access into the building where they reside once a housing contract is completed and approved.

Additional Card Features

  • Virtual Cash


    • Load value onto your DU Card using CVCs (Cash Value Centers), then use your card to pay for small purchases on campus. Eliminate carrying cash and coins while saving money with valuable discounts offered.

    • There are five Cash Value Centers located on Campus. These machines can be found at the following locations:
      • Student Union (second floor near lockers)
      • Gumberg Library (fourth floor near copy machines)
      • Law Library (entrance level near copy machines)
      • Rockwell Hall (first floor near vending machines)
      • Towers Living / Learning Center

    • Simply insert your DU Card, right side up with your picture in first, into the CVC, then place bills into the bill acceptor ($1, $5, $10, and $20s) - It's cash on your card! Maximum value permitted is $50.00

    • Virtual Cash is not refundable!

    • Virtual Cash is Accepted in the Following Locations:
      • Forbes Avenue Parking Garage*
      • Dining Facilities (excluding Rev. Sean Hogan Student Dining Center)
      • Copier Machines*
      • Microfiche
      • Vending Machines
      • Chemistry Department (Lab Breakage Fees)*
      • Printers in the Gumberg Library
