Bio

I am also a  visiting professor in the department of Sociology at North South University as well as Independent University in Bangladesh. During the summer, I visit Bangladesh and teach a wide array of sociology courses at different universities. 

In my free time, I enjoy teaching, reading, gardening, music, and organizing different events.

Teach: Survey of Sociology, Global Sociology, Social Problems and Social Problems, Women in Developing Countries, Family Systems in America, Gender and Development, Contemporary Issues in Gender Relationships.

Publications

 

I have written a chapter for The Encyclopedia of Women and Islamic Cultures, VI on Vocational Education for Women in South Asia. I also wrote a chapter for a book entitled, Mapping Rural Women's Perspectives on Nonformal Education Experiences In Comparative Education Reader edited by Edward R. Beauchamp.
