Dr. Siqueira's research and teaching interests focus on strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, and management of technology and innovation. Her professional experience includes almost five years in multinational organizations such as Citigroup, where she developed business planning and new initiatives in customer service information and communication technology, and received an award in 2000 for her work on project management for Citiphone Brazil. In 2005 she received a Gorman Award from the University of Florida for excellence in quantitative research. In 2007-2009 she was a Benavitch Scholar in St Catharine's College at the University of Cambridge, and in 2008-2009 she was hosted at the MIT Industrial Performance Center.
She is a recipient of the 2009 Michael H. Mescon/Coles College of Business Best Empirical Paper Award, and the 2010 Research Promise IDEA Award from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Connecticut and the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management. Her articles have appeared in such publications as the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Innovation Management, Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and Technology Analysis and Strategic Management.
Prior to joining Duquesne University, Dr. Siqueira was an Assistant Professor of Strategy at Pepperdine University and a full-time Lecturer at Stanford University. She holds a B.B.A. from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, M.A. degrees from the University of Florida and Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Management from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge.
