The Duquesne University School of Education Community Forum
March 12, 2014: Doing the Right Thing and Doing the Thing Right:
Critical Issues for Sustained Community Engagement
Last October, Duquesne University and the School of Education-in partnership with Pittsburgh's education, business, civic, foundation, and political institutions-came together to discuss social justice in public education and what 21st century education should look like for our youth.
You are invited to join us in the continuing dialogue and collaborate with us on March 12 at the second community forum. Help us take real-life social justice issues that impact youth and problem-solve as a community at-large to make our engagement more action-oriented.
The goal of the 2014 Community Forum is to engage in an honest, collegial information sharing discussion in a small group format, to gain a more accurate understanding of the work presently occurring in our region that affects the education of our children.
We are committed to being a place where our region's leaders can engage in meaningful discourse and problem-solving in an environment that champions equity and social justice for all.
Your perspective is critical to this dialogue to make a difference in our children's lives! Please join us in the spirit of collaboration as we begin a new path together to identify and meet the educational opportunities and challenges facing our region's youth.
