These programs include the Certificate in Paralegal Studies, Professional Coach Certification and Executive Certificate in Financial Planning.

Certificate in Paralegal Studies

Duquesne University's Certificate in Paralegal Studies is Pittsburgh's only American Bar Association-recognized paralegal program. To meet student needs, the program is offered in both part-time evening and full-time summer formats. Paralegal Studies participants also have several certificate options, including a Certificate in General Practice and concentration areas leading to a Certificate in Corporate Law, Certificate in Civil Litigation, Certificate in Estates or Certificate in Litigation Technology. Students will gain applicable professional knowledge from paralegal certificate courses in the areas of legal research and writing as well as from specialized electives.

In addition to stellar paralegal certificate courses, the Paralegal Institute offers:

Professional Coach Certification Program

Duquesne's Professional Coach Certification Program is Pennsylvania's only university program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Lasting approximately seven (7) months, students in the Professional Coach Certificate Program spend 144 hours learning how to coach individuals one-on-one for personal and professional success. To optimize learning, the program features an interactive adult learning model using multimedia approaches, with an emphasis on practical application of coaching skills. On-campus sessions are held on Friday evenings and Saturdays to meet the needs of your current work life, while online sessions and webinars allow you to attend classes in the comfort of your own home. Participants study coaching principles, learn multiple coaching strategies, practice coaching peers as well as real clients and receive support and feedback. Completing the program certifies you to enter the field of professional coaching.

Professional coaches inspire greatness in others by encouraging them to reach their maximum potential. The program is ideal for:
