Studying Law at Duquesne
All students interested in studying law for the purpose of obtaining a professional degree are encouraged to meet with the Pre-Law Advisor, located in the Political Science Department, College Hall. The Pre-Law Advisor counsels students regarding their law school choices, registration with the law school for the LSAT, and their future goals.
Students seeking entry into law school should cast a wide academic net during their undergraduate years. The humanities-based University core curriculum, in which all students must participate, ensures the development of oral and written communication skills, while it explores questions of human significance. A wide range of elective courses allows students to explore a variety of interests and sample courses in any of Duquesne's undergraduate schools of study.
