On Saturday, January 11, 2014, Anthony J. Colega (P'77, and his wife Cheryl P '95, ventured to the home of Leon Panella (P '66, for the 13th Annual Sopressata-Making Party where they were joined by about 40 friends, friends of friends, and Leon's fraternity brothers from Alpha Phi Delta. About 20 men produced 600 pounds of sopressata in one morning. It was a labor of love, and they can't wait to do it all over again!

Willie Somerset, former Duquesne basketball all-American and hall of famer, has retired from his career as a pharmacist for over 43 years. He is a counselor and mentor for young people.

Robert Garmise Graduated (May 2007) School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dissertation entitled: Novel Dry Powder Preparations of Whole Inactivated Influenza Virus for Nasal Vaccination under the guidance of Dr. Anthony J. Hickey. Also, received the 2007 Outstanding Graduate Research in Pharmaceutical Technologies Award from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
Nina (Homka) Horsky, 84, is still active with volunteerism – serving along with her sister, Tatiana Fedec, on the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association at the Advocate Level, as Directors. Tatiana is a 1951 graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.
