IFSA Butler - Buenos Aires & Mendoza
Travel with students from other U.S. institutions; study with local and international students. Third-party provider, Institute for Study Abroad-Butler University (IFSA-Butler), facilitated by Duquesne University’s OIP.
- You are required to take Spanish Language and Culture (3 cr).
- The four universities in Buenos Aires offer an impressive range of disciplines or courses of study from the liberal arts, social sciences, business and economics.
- The National University of Cuyo in Mendoza is noted for its wide range of courses including fine and performing arts as well as for a wide range of liberal arts and social sciences.
- Intermediate Program available.
Language of Instruction
Integrated Program: Spanish, requires minimum of four semesters of university-level Spanish.
Intermediate program: Spanish, requires 2-3 semesters of university-level Spanish or equivalent.
Fall Semester: July – December
Spring Semester: February – July
Housing and Meals
IFSA-Butler houses all students in homestays with carefully selected and screened Argentine families. This living situation includes either two or three meals per day.
A resident director is on site in both Buenos Aires and Mendoza. Two-week orientation, planned excursions, and individual language tutoring to help you succeed.
