IFSA Butler  - Buenos Aires & Mendoza

Program Type

Travel with students from other U.S. institutions; study with local and international students. Third-party provider, Institute for Study Abroad-Butler University (IFSA-Butler), facilitated by Duquesne University’s OIP.

Courses

• You are required to take Spanish Language and Culture (3 cr).
• The four universities in Buenos Aires offer an impressive range of disciplines of study from the liberal arts, social sciences, business and economics.
• The National University of Cuyo in Mendoza is noted for its fine and performing arts as well as for a wide range of liberal arts and social sciences.
• Intermediate Program available.

Language of Instruction

Integrated Program: Spanish, requires minimum of four semesters of university-level Spanish.

Intermediate program: Spanish, requires 2-3 semesters of university-level Spanish or equivalent.

Fall Semester: July – December

Spring Semester: February – July

Housing and Meals

IFSA-Butler houses all students in homestays with carefully selected and screened Argentine families. This living situation includes either two or three meals per day.

Services Provided

A resident director is on site in both Buenos Aires and Mendoza. Two-week orientation, planned excursions, and individual language tutoring to help you succeed.
