Yellow Cab
If you are arriving into Pittsburgh International Airport, you can hire a yellow cab from outside the Baggage Claim that will bring you to Duquesne. The cost is approx $50-60 and it will take about 30 minutes.
Bus
The 28X bus will bring you to The Blvd of the Allies Footbridge (Duquesne). The cost is $____(exact change is needed) and it takes approximately 40 minutes to get to Duquesne. Please note: There are several steps to walk up to arrive onto Duquesne’s campus so if you have a lot of baggage, you may prefer a yellow cab. See this document regarding 28X.
SuperShuttle:
The SuperShuttle vans are located by the car rental agencies (Hertz etc) at the airport near the baggage claims. You share a van with passengers going in the same direction. Reservations can be made online but are not necessary. The service runs 24 hours a day. A shared van ride is about $25 to Duquesne University.
Cultural Ambassador/Duquesne Representative Airport Pickup Service
We recommend that you use one of the above methods of transport if possible. However, if you would like someone to personally pick you up, please complete the form below. We must receive this information at least two weeks before arrival in order to coordinate the pick up. We will add your name to our list and notify you when a volunteer has been assigned.
Please note that this service is free of charge and dependent upon volunteers' schedules. We also regret that we are unable to accomodate any other drop-off points other than Duquesne's campus. We also are not able to accomodate requests for pickups after the start of International Orientation.
The volunteer will meet you at the aiport and bring you to Duquesne University, either to your permanent room assignment or to your temporary lodging in Towers Residence Hall. Be sure to fill out the Temporary Room request form as well.
