Accepted Students
Congratulations on being accepted to Duquesne... but don’t relax just yet. As an “accepted” student, you still have some important decisions to make.
How do I confirm my attendance?
- You will confirm your enrollment when you submit your deposit online.
Deposits are non-refundable, and will be credited as a pre-payment on your student account.
What happens after I deposit?
- Individual departments within the University contact deposited students throughout the spring and summer to help prepare them for their first year at Duquesne.
- You will receive information about getting access to the Duquesne online portal, DORI, and reading information for new students about orientation, registering for classes and more.
- If you deposit and then decide to delay your attendance, we must receive written notice before the start of classes if you expect to receive a tuition refund.

Will you succeed at Duquesne?
- About 90% of freshmen return for their sophomore year, which is much higher than the average retention rate of ~70%.
- Perhaps a visit to our campus will help you decide.
- We can arrange for you to meet faculty and students in your areas of interest. You’ll find out exactly what its like to be a student at Duquesne.
