Alumni Profile: Jon Stanich

2003 Duquesne Graduate, BS in Computer Science, BA in Mathematics

Jon Stanich is currently working for the Department of Defense as an Operations Research Analyst on the development of unmanned air systems.  Additionally, he owns a contracting business that provides website consulting, design, and development for small businesses. Concerning the value of his Duquesne computer science education, Jon had this to say:

"The small class sizes, strong sense of community, and opportunity to get to know the professors while majoring in Duquesne University’s Computer Science program is what I remember to be most beneficial during my education.  I personally found the availability of Professors and willingness to meet for extended periods of time outside of class provided me the opportunity to review difficult material verifying I could understand the difficult concepts.   I can say with confidence that the Computer Science program at Duquesne University enabled me to learn the skills required for a successful career in technology."
