Students within the doctoral program in instructional technology work hard but play hard as well. They are encouraged to think outside of the box and to consider non-traditional, but data-based solutions for educational problems.
Research Interests
Examining technological applications for addressing issues of test fairness and test bias in minority and special needs population.
Current Projects
Recent beta testing of a computerized measure of inspection time, an application that assesses how quickly individuals can solve cognitive problems, with stimuli that are designed to be free of many of the normal components of test bias.
Dr. Kush uses Macintosh computers exclusively.
