She also works as a freelance Science Writing and Education Consultant to develop science education activities for learners of all ages. She has collaborated with Prof. John Pollock (Biology Dept) to create immunology science education activities/games for kids as a part of his Regenerative Medicine Partnership in Education. And, currently, she is working with Prof. David Yaron at CMU to create chemistry education activities for The ChemCollective.
When she’s not working, she’s the lead singer/bassist of local rock band The Ele[mental], she runs mountain bike trails at Frick, kayaks, plays softball, and is always on the lookout for the perfect draft beer.
