Research
Research is a central element of Duquesne University’s educational programs, giving students direct experience in exciting research projects. Duquesne's faculty scholars pursue research interests in a wide range of contemporary fields, from the natural sciences to medical sciences, social sciences and the humanities.
- Many faculty scholars concentrate their fields of study on national priorities, including biotechnology, cyber security and international health.
- We provide the results of faculty research to society through scholarly publications, licenses, or technology transfer.
- The Office of Research supports principal investigators and handles the administrative aspects of research programs.
Gumberg Library
The Gumberg Library supports teaching, learning, and research with a collection of more than 670,000 volumes, 5,000 journal subscriptions (including print and electronic), 150 research databases, and a variety of audiovisual materials. Much of the library's resources are accessible electronically on and off campus.
