Bachelor of Science in Health Management Systems

(BSHMS) Degree Program

The Bachelor of Science in Health Management Systems (BSHMS) degree program with the RHIA option is accredited by the American Health Information Management Association's Council on Accreditation, in collaboration with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Graduates are eligible for the national certification examination to become a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). In addition, graduates are employees in information technology, consulting, hospitals, managed care and physician practice positions.
