Yvonne Davis, alumna, is President and CEO of DAVISCommunications, whose client list includes the U.S. State Department and National Football League.  Throughout her remarkable 20-year plus career, she has spearheaded initiatives that impact social and political change, both domestically and internationally.  As a hard hitting political columnist, corporate crisis strategist, and seasoned traveler, Yvonne has visited 56 countries, enabling her to greatl y enhance her knowledge of the world community.  Yvonne expressed that Duquesne’s graduate leadership program expanded her already proven skills set.  Read more...

Roger Miranda, Alum
Roger Miranda, who entered the Marine Corps after 9/11, said his military experience led him to explore attending college, and the birth of his son, Danny, reinforced the decision. The youngest of eight children, he is the first in his family to attend college.   While attending Duquesne University, he was advancing his education “along with juggling the responsibilities of a Marine, a father and a husband,” said Roger.  While a student, Roger was selected from approximately 1,000 adult students as Outstanding Continuing Education Student of the year by the University Professional and Continuing Education Association.  Read more...

As a former lawyer, and founder and president of an international strategic consulting firm, Elisabet brings a wealth of knowledge, global experience and passion for knowledge to students in her graduate business ethics courses.  Elisabet was recently invited to participate at the prestigious Oxford Round Table, a forum to discuss important policy issues during a five-day period in a collegial think tank atmosphere.  The Round Table discussion, “Ethical Sentiments: the restoration of Trust in Government and Business,” was held at Lincoln College in Oxford, England.  Read more...

Vincent James SicilianoVincent James Siciliano (Jim), Alum
Most adult students seeking their bachelors’ degree from the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement have career goals they want to achieve.  Vincent James Siciliano (Jim), owner of an already successful real estate development company, enrolled for a personal reason – to finish the degree he started over 50 years ago and to set a good example for his 22 grandchildren.  Married and with his third child on its way, Jim left Duquesne in 1960 during his senior year to focus on his family.  He returned in August 2006 to complete his degree.  Read more...
