Day of Giving
On Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, Duquesne University alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends virtually came together to make the first-ever Duquesne Day of Giving an overwhelming success. On that one day, 1,023 gifts were made and $109,122 was raised to support Duquesne University, our programs and students.
With the excitement of that day still fresh in our minds, our second Duquesne Day of Giving -- on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 -- intends to shatter those records!
Want to help make this happen? Here is how you can assist in the months leading up to the big online event:
- Join the #DUQDayofGiving Team: Stay informed about all things Duquesne Day of Giving and learn how you can help spread the word by joining our Facebook Group.
- Make A Challenge: Thinking about making a larger gift to Duquesne University? Want to maximize that gift and use it as a way to motivate others to donate? Consider these challenge options:
- Dollar-for-Dollar Challenge: If you want to see more money raised, commit to making a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge gift of $2,500 or more that will incentivize donors to give to The Duquesne Fund or the school, organization or sports team that means the most to you.
- Participation Challenge: Or, if you want to inspire more people to participate, then consider committing to a participation challenge that donors must "unlock." Examples: you will donate $2,500 or more if: 100 young alumni donate; 100 alumni from a particular city make a gift; 100 people donate to a particular school, organization or sports team. It's up to you who you would like to inspire!
