2012 Recording Workshop - July 19-22

Inside the Studio recording workshop introduces novice and intermediate students to the recording business and the art of recording production.  Aspiring musicians and recording engineers will also benefit from exposure to the inner workings of the recording studio from both sides of the window.  The program consists of lectures, discussions and hands-on learning, as well as recording sessions. Evening recording-related activities are scheduled for on-campus students.

Workshop activities take place in Duquesne University’s Recording and Music Technology Center.

No prerequisites are necessary; however, a basic knowledge of music and home recording techniques is helpful.  Enrollment is limited to 50 students.
