PersonalI was born in Pittsburgh and have lived here almost my entire life, except for a short 2 year visit to the Silver Springs, MD area. My parents, Emil and Marion, my younger sister, Susan and my older brother, Frank all live in the Pittsburgh area. My littlest sister, Amy, was adventurous and moved to Uniontown PA. I live with my two children and two cats. My daughter, Bethany, is 23 yrs. old and is a 5th year pharmacy major. Pharmacy at Duquesne is a 6 year program and is quite difficult. My son, John, is 21 yrs. old and is a Junior at Duquesne as a chemistry major. He is in a 5 year program where after the 4 years of chemistry he will go for 12 months and get his Masters in Education. He wants to teach High School Chemistry so that he can have the summers off to play golf. He has his priorities straight!!!! My two cats are really cute. Chloe is about 3 ½ years old. She was a stray that happened to come into my yard in October of 2002. She was malnourished, skinny, was flea infested, anemic, and had a bite wound on her rear end. After many trips to the vet she is now doing fine and has gained weight. She is a calico long haired cat and is also beautiful. Dixie is my kitten, she was taken to a local vet in Feb. 2005 as a newborn kitten with a broken hind leg. The vet had her in the waiting room for any one to adopt. Well the kind hearted person I am, I adopted her. Her leg has since healed and now she is the holy terror of my house. I find things everywhere when I get home from work. She runs around like a crazy cat, and also loves to play with Chloe. They get along very well. She is a short haired cat, with grey and white stripes. Now that my two kids are in college and live off campus, it is just the cats and me at home, and lots of cat hair!!! |
