Parent and Family Resources
Parents and families hope that their student will have a positive college experience, developing skills for a successful future. At times, it may be tempting to step in and try to solve their problems, finding a quick fix. After all, you’ve been doing this for years.
We encourage you to step back and allow your student to take the first steps in solving his or her own problems. By offering suggestions, yet challenging them to accept the responsibility to seek out solutions and solve their own problems, you are instilling in them valuable skills that they will use throughout their professional and personal lives.
