PSI CHI
The Duquesne chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, welcomes back all current members to the new academic year. Those of you who are not members, are strongly encourage to review the membership requirements and consider joining this fall. Membership requirements are as follows:
- Must have completed at least 3 semesters of college coursework with 9 credits in Psychology
- Must be registered for major or minor standing in Psychology
- Must have a QPA of 3.0 overall and a 3.0 in Psychology
If you are interested in joining or want to leave correspondence for the group, their mailbox is located in the Department Office, room 544 College Hall.
What is Psi Chi?
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.
Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). The national chapter of Psi Chi also has a web site.
Psychology Club
The Psychology Club will be coordinating its meetings with those of Psi Chi this year and will be open to all interested students.

Preparing for Graduate School: A presentation by current Duquesne doctoral students and faculty about the variety of graduate programs (Ph.D., Psy.D., M.A., M.S.W., etc.) in psychology and human services, and about how to prepare to apply to graduate school.
