Fitness and Wellness

Fitness is seen as a lifestyle choice at Duquesne University’s Recreation Department.

It is not defined within parameters of fitness test results, weight control, or capabilities. It means doing something every day, moving your body, to maintain your overall health. It is about finding balance in your life to do something for yourself that will provide you with more endurance, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Fitness incorporates physical and mental health as well as emotional satisfaction and self-awareness.

Updates!

We co-sponsor educational events on fitness and mental health topics with the Counseling Center, Health Center, and University Wellness Committee.

For questions or information on fitness and wellness programs please stop by the Recreation Office in the Power Recreation Center, call (412) 396-5050, or e-mail us at fitness@duq.edu.
