SPRING Community Engagement

Our Mission

SPRING promotes community engagement among institutions of higher education in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region. It is a regional network of institutions, comprised of colleges, universities, and community organizations.

Our Vision

SPRING envisions a community engagement community in the Southwestern PA region that brings colleagues across agencies and institutions together to create interdisciplinary collaborations that address real community needs in sustainable ways. Faculty, students, community members and agency staff have the opportunity to interact and learn from one another. Community-driven research projects led by student teams produce critical data for future initiatives. Through individual engagement the talents and skills of students are exercised throughout the region.
