"What Does a Network Mean to SPRING?"
A network, a partnership, a consortium.
...During the last six months working as the program manager for SPRING, I have noticed that instead of simply acting as a group of colleagues that come together to get through an agenda, or to get "business" done, these network members come together as a fellowship of professionals to pursue one cause, grow service-learning in our region.

"To Include the Hyphen or Not... That is the Question."
I recently became aware of a discussion within the service-learning community, "the importance of the hyphen between the word service and learning." After hearing of this discussion I decided to find out what the importance of the hyphen really was, and to find out for myself whether or not the hyphen should always be included when talking about service and learning.

"Impact Areas 1 and 2: Senior Care and Youth"
Hi Everyone,
During the last two SPRING Network meetings, I have begun to implement short and specified Impact Area Presentations for our members. A good portion of the information that I am using was taken from one-page impact area reports created by one of Pittsburgh Cares' Scholars In Service. I have designed the presentations to give our network members a greater sense of what impact areas are in our region, what the needs are in those areas, how those areas are being impacted, and what our network can do to impact those areas further. I know it is a lot isn't it?

"Our Network and Our Resources"
My name is Zachary Marsh and I am the present SPRING Network Program Manager. I wanted to start off our network blog by giving a short synopsis about how our network developed and what our network can offer to those involved, or looking to get involved in service-learning.
